The soft-heartedness of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is such that Allah states:

Translation from Kanz al-Iman: “So, what a great mercy it is from Allah that, ˹O beloved˺, you became soft-hearted towards them.” al-Quran, 3:159
